About Me
As an expert facilitator and qualitative researcher, I am committed to supporting your journey toward equity and justice. In my work, I prioritize Anti-Racism and Intersectional Inclusion (ARII), which serve as the foundation for our approach to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI).
Bio
I am the Head Black Woman in Charge of CoEquity born and raised in southern California and molded in Montana. I have fiercely advocated racial equity in Montana for nearly a decade. During this time, I have educated and impacted over 1,700 people in the public and private sectors - from philanthropy & technology to conservation. I regularly deliver workshops and trainings on racism, equity, DEI, and organizational transformation nationwide—including as a TEDx speaker.
I hold a BA in African American Studies from the University of Montana; my classroom and campus experience fueled my fire to lead anti-racism education and build a community for Black people on campus. I created and led the first-ever Black Solidarity Summit in 2018, now hosted annually. In 2019, I received a Defending Democracy Fellowship from the Western States Center to fight against growing white nationalism throughout the country.
I am a Certified Diversity and Inclusion Professional through Cornell University. As a consultant, I bring not only my studied knowledge to my work but my lived experience. I am an expert facilitator whose approach has been described as personable, wise, direct, patient, intersectional, and enthusiastic.
My guiding principles and philosophies are rooted in love. I promise never to avoid uncomfortable conversations or difficult challenges. Rather, I promise to practice truth-telling with love AND grace.
When not working, I spend time with my wild pug, Prince Odie, and my favorite humans. On a random Saturday, you can probably find me in full potato mode binging a new show. Ps. I am always open to recommendations!
I CAN'T WAIT TO WORK WITH YOU!
