Culture Assessment & Equity Audit

Approaches

We could say, show us your numbers and make recommendations to make those numbers look better. This is how justice work becomes “checklist-y,” and organizations take the easier path to make themselves look and feel better – having adequately signaled to all who are watching that they are “one of the good ones”. And anyone with historically marginalized identities will experience harm due to this performative allyship.

Our assessments include both a quantitative and qualitative approach. Staff will receive a questionnaire to survey to gather information on team member experiences relative to the culture, policies, procedure, equity, anti-oppression, and inclusion.

We will look at the story your numbers tell, but we are more interested in talking to the people who are affected by your organizational culture. We promise to listen and treat those lived experiences as the valid data it is and make recommendations to improve the conditions of your staff and leadership.

Our Tools

Every project has living needs, so we plan to be flexible and meet your organization’s staff and board where they are. Some of our tools include surveys, interviews, building relationships, staff engagement, research, assessment, continuous feedback, and action planning.
